  • Make sure you have the position of the machine and the dimensions prior to ordering. I can’t over-emphasize the importance of location and dimensions in your purchase. It may seem trivial but when you get own to ordering the autoclave you need, this becomes vital information. There are so many brands and models that come in all shapes and sizes. You have to know exactly what you are looking for.
  • If you are ordering a large machine, make sure you 1. Have adequate Space for the machine and 2. Have a loading dock or means to get the machine to the location you desire. Again, this follows up on tip #2. You may have the space and know exactly where you want the unit placed but if that delivery person cannot get it there, you won’t be getting your machine.
  • Consider Accessories. It’s important that you have the right machine and the right amount of space but don’t forget the small things. There are hundreds of autoclave accessories you are going to need including cleaning supplies, testing kits, ect. Make a list before you order and have it in front of you when you order. Also, ask the sales person for recommendations. They sell these machines all day and they will usually remember a few things that you left off your list.
  • Make sure you know the exact size of the unit and location of the autoclave you want to purchase. They come in all different shapes and sizes for each brand. For example, if you ordered the Aaron Bovie Brand, make sure you know what size because that will be the next question they ask you. Each brand and even some models are now coming with 4 or more dimensions to suit your needs.
