Don’t Make The Wrong Choice, It Will Cost Your Business Thousands of Dollars!

In case you are new to this…

An Autoclave is a pressurized device designed to heat aqueous solutions above their boiling point at normal atmospheric pressure to achieve sterilization. It was invented by Charles Chamberland in 1879. The term autoclave is also used to describe an industrial machine in which elevated temperature and pressure are used in processing materials.

Under ordinary circumstances (at standard pressure), liquid water cannot be heated above approximately 100 °C or 212 °F  in an open area. Further heating results in boiling, which is the transition from liquid to gas, but does not raise the temperature of the liquid water. However, when water is heated in a pressurized vessel such as an autoclave, it is possible to heat liquid water to a much higher temperature. As the container is heated the pressure rises due to the constant volume of the container. The boiling point of the water is raised because the amount of energy needed to form steam against the higher pressure is increased.

That’s a little technical, let me simplify it: Sterilization is the process – the autoclave is the machine that does it. For example you would use an autoclave to sterilize dental instruments.

Autoclaves are used for infection control, food, experiments. (to sterilize instruments, containers, glassware, liquids, things that will be disposed of etc).

So in short, using an autoclave is one of the most effective ways to sterilize instruments or equiptment of any kind.

Buying the Right Autoclave Is ESSENTIAL To Your Business!

It doesn’t matter whether you are replacing an old unit, upgrading your existing equipment or starting fresh, it is VITAL that you get the proper information. Regardless of your autoclave needs, it is essential to buy the right device. Remember, autoclave prices can range from $100 to $10,000 plus! But what do you need? Is it the right device for your business needs?

It’s important to understand that these devices are a vital part of any business from a dental practice to a major city hospital. The sterilization of equipment, liquids, or items that are to be disposed of properly is extremely important. There are hundreds of cases of major lawsuits brought against companies and the main complaint was improper sterilization of equipment.

Making the Wrong Choice Can Put You Out of Business!

Buying used autoclaves is a lot like buying a used car in that you really don’t have any idea what you are getting unless you are a mechanic and can get under the hood. Fortunately for car buyers, lawmakers have put lemon laws in place for consumers. This is not the case for autoclaves. While there are many good sellers and fine equipment to be purchased there are just as many bad. Now, bad doesn’t mean that these sellers are deliberately trying to scam the buyer. It simply means that they may not have the knowledge, experience or even proper understanding of the equipment. Now, if the sellers don’t have this type of knowledge, how are you expected to make the right choice? Can you imagine if your local car dealer did not know if the car you were buying had major defects???

This is important to the trust and safety of the market place. It is vital that you have the knowledge before you start purchasing this equipment.
